I just returned from Alaska yesterday — my 50th state, which was the culmination of my #50by50 quest to visit all 50 states by my 50th birthday. Well, my birthday was last week on September 7, and on that day I was on a small ship in the Inside Passage of Alaska, watching pods of whales feed all around me and marveling at the gorgeous scenery.
I’m so excited to have accomplished my goal, and it was a beautiful journey. I made a photo slideshow, incorporating some of my travels through the 50 states from the 1970s through last week’s trip. Come along with me on the journey!
