We all love a bit of luxury from time to time, the search for tranquillity and to mind our own peace of oasis along our travels. And let’s face it, we can all do with a respite while on the road. It was during our trip to Sri Lanka that we came across this Shangri- La (literally, the name is in the title). Located in the beautiful beach town of Bentota, along, the south-east coast of Sri Lanka.
Shangri-Lanka Villa consists of six beautifully designed apartments nestled in a tranquil garden setting, on the outskirts of Bentota. Just a short ten-minute walk from the beach with its long stretch of soft sand and blue waters and a twenty-minute tuk-tuk ride will take you to the interesting Kosgoda sea turtle sanctuary.
Our apartment consisted of two very large open space rooms. One being the bedroom with an equally spacious ensuite and the other room a beautifully designed tv/comfort room. Both adjoined to the balcony with its decorated table and chairs of trinkets and shells providing views over the garden and pool.
The bedroom itself is an idyllic spacious room, with large wooden frame windows providing an abundant of natural light and much-needed breeze.
