A Tour of my Hometown: Austin, Texas

Hey y’all!

Yesterday I went Live on Facebook all day long over at the Trading Places Page, to show the tribe some of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday in Austin! I figured after sharing adventures from travels around the world, maybe it was time to introduce my readers to some things I love about my own hometown.

You can come along with me here on the journey:

First up: A bike ride from my condo in East Austin to the hike-and-bike trail around Lady Bird Lake.

I stopped several times along the ride to show you a bit along the trail.

Finally arriving at downtown Austin:

Second up: Breakfast tacos at Tamale House East

After the long bike ride, it was time to take in an Austin tradition and go for some breakfast tacos!

I took viewers along to one of my favorite neighborhood spots, Tamale House East:

Next up: A stop at the HOPE farmers market

I love farmers markets, and the Sunday HOPE market in my East Austin hood is sweet: small, and very local/neighborhood in vibe.

Next I drove past Zilker Park and Barton Springs:

Before capping my day off with a movie at Alamo Drafthouse:

Thanks for coming along for the ride on my Sunday in Austin — and don’t forget to follow our Facebook Page and subscribe to notifications for when I go Live! It’s easy; just click the small, downward-facing arrow in the top right-hand corner of any of my live video posts, and choose “Turn On Notifications.”

Happy Travels!
